An Avant-Garde Language Academy for a Multicultural Community

La Paz Language Academy was founded in 2003 by native Argentine educator Alba (Ely) Ferreyra Gutierrez, who believed that speaking two or more languages should be a core part of every person’s education. After moving to El Paso, Texas, she recognized the need for an accredited language school offering innovative, multicultural, and high-quality language instruction for all ages.

Since opening, La Paz has provided students with opportunities to learn new languages, explore diverse cultures, and embrace global values. Our mission is to empower students to succeed in school, careers, and life—while preparing them for an increasingly interconnected world.

Since our founding in September 2003, La Paz Language Academy has become one of El Paso’s most diverse and respected language schools. We proudly offer:

  • 20+ world languages

  • High school foreign language credit (transferable nationwide)

  • Language programs for children, teens, and adults

  • Fully online classes with live, native-speaking teachers

  • 2005: Accredited by SACS CASI
